Kim left a lot open to interpretation, but it is clear she did spend time apart from Ken. However,Ken was featured in season 6, and Kim presented him to her whole family, and Ken and Barry got along.

When Kim announced to her second-oldest daughter, Moriah Plath, that she was dating Ken in season 5, Moriah did not have a thrilled reaction and said she didn’t support it.
