A reimagining of the classic Arabian fable,Aladdin 3477: The Jinn of Wisdomwill be available on VOD July 29, 2025. The film is Matt Busch’s directorial debut, who is acclaimed for hisStar Wars,Lord of the Rings, andIndiana Jonesart. Busch is also the writer of the screenplay, withAladdin 3477serving as the first of three movies in his magnum opus trilogy.
In his director’s statement, Busch shares that he was inspired bySteven Spielberg’s and George Lucas' workand has always been obsessed with fantastical stories. “I knew if my sci-fi trilogy of films were ever going to happen, I would have to step back and create them independently,” he admits. “Through the grueling amount of work, 12-year-old me was beaming the entire time, creating the kind of films I used to camp out in line for.” Check out the trailer for a look at Busch’s new epic adventure, and ensure to catch the movie when itreleases on VOD.

As reflected in its title,Aladdin 3477: The Jinn of Wisdomtakes place years ahead of its time. The film follows Erik Steele as Aladdin, a “street-smart orphan with dreams of ascending to the elite class.” He sets his sights on Princess Kamala of India (Christi Perovski) and is lured into a quest to find a fabled lamp. Alongside him is Oomi (Lin Zy), a homeless girl “whose presence inadvertently thwarts Aladdin’s every scheme,” and an enigmatic ancient sage known as “The Jinn of Wisdom” (Aaron Golematis).
