The Combaticons combine into their ultimate form Bruticus, one of the most powerful Transformers of all. Fortunately for the Autobots, it doesn’t appear that all of the Combaticons joined Shockwave through the bridge portal, and Brawl was damaged as stepped through, being cut in half after the Autobots damaged the bridge and closed the portal.

The Energon Universe Teases the Arrival of The Combiner BRUTICUS
Transformers#10 – Written By Daniel Warren Johnson; Art By Jorge Corona, Mike Spicer &Rus Wooton
Bruticus is made up of the Combaticons Onslaught, Vortex. Brawl, Blast Off and Swindle
Now thatShockwave has brought Cybertron to Earth, the possibility of the Combaticons coming together and forming Bruticus just went up considerably. The Autobots are already reeling from theirdefeat at the hands of Shockwave, so throwing another combiner into the mix could lead to even further disaster for Optimus Prime and company. The Constructicons previously gave the Autobots a run for their money whenthey combined into Devastator, barely being stopped by Optimus Prime, after he got a super-charge thanks to the sacrifice of Sparkplug Witwicky.

The Combaticons are deadly enough on their own, with their alt-modes based on military vehicles such as tanks and attack choppers making each a formidable opponent. Combined into theirultimate form Bruticus, and the Combaticons become an even more formidable force on the battlefield. The only saving grace for the Autobots in this regard is that Brawl is currently damaged, having been cut in half while attempting to step through the portal. The limited Energon reserves are preventing both the Autobots and Decepticons from repairing their comrades in a timely fashion, although Shockwave’s plans could change that in the very near future.
The Energon Universe creators have shown considerable restraint in rolling out the Autobot and Decepticon casts inTransformers, never overburdening the reader with too many characters appearing at once.

Fans Are Holding Their Breath Waiting For The Combaticons To Arrive On Earth
Energon Universe Stakes Continue To Rise
Of course, the Autobots have their own combiners to call upon:the Aerialbots, who combine to form Superion, or the Protectobots, who combine to form Defensor.Yet the Energon Universe creators have shown considerable restraint in rolling out the Autobot and Decepticon casts inTransformers, never overburdening the reader with too many characters appearing at once. Each is introduced in a way that feels important and significant, making each robot’s first appearance in the new continuitya major event. Whenever Bruticus makes hisofficial Energon Universe debut, it could spell disaster for theTransformers.
