I love that Fotor has multiple AI image generators, including both text-to-image and image-to-image generators. you’re able to use a text prompt, including a negative prompt, to generate images of 17 style options, with styles such as photography, tattoos, icons, and logos.
The image-to-image generators allow you to upload any image and recreate it in a variety of AI art effects and styles, such as illustration, claymation, cartoons—even in specific styles like anime, Fallout, or PS4 game style—and 3D, to name a few. If your original image has text, the AI will turn it into gibberish. Fotor has atool that can remove AI gibberish textin AI-generated images.
There are more specific AI generators too, such as the headshot generator, which is great for creating a professional headshot if you’re unable to take your own photo. Fotor also boasts a profile pic maker, which saves you time as opposed tocreating profile pics in Canva.
I also like the fun generators, such as the AI baby generator, which allows you to plug in images of yourself and another person and generate what your future baby could look like. Similarly, there’s the face swap feature, where you’re able to swap your face with someone else’s while keeping the rest of your body and image intact.
AI Image Editing Tools
AI is great for generating images from scratch, but Fotor really shines as an AI editing tool for a variety of uses. The AI expand tool—which is comprable toPhotoshop and Canva’s expand tools—is helpful if your photo’s composition doesn’t have enough space around the subject. Easily add more sky or background to recompose your photo.
Along with the expand tool are the erase and replace tools, which both use AI to fill in the gaps in your image or replace them with something new. You can also remove, replace, or blur the background in a similar fashion.
Fotor’s AI skin retouch tool can help clear up blemishes in photos, offering a smooth but natural skin tone quickly. If the face in your image is out of focus, the face unblurring feature can help fix that. There’s also a one-tap image enhancer, which can quickly fix a slew of problems in your entire image.

How Much Does Fotor Cost?
Fotor’sBasic package is free. This package includes basic editing, design, and template features. It excludes most AI tools except for AI art effects and some AI video tools for a reduced output. You can export images in JPG, PNG, and PDF.
Fotor Pro is only $3.99 per month for an annual plan or $8.99 for a monthly plan. It includes all AI tools, except AI batch editing. The Pro package also includes 2 GB of cloud storage, hundreds of fonts plus the ability to upload your own, and has HD JPG, PNG, PDF, and transparent PNG outputs. This plan doesn’t include the Brand Kit feature, but it does provide 100 extra AI credits monthly.
Fotor Pro+ is $7.49 per month for an annual plan or $19.99 for a month at a time. Pro+ includes everything in the Pro plan, as well as the addition of Brand Kit—similar toMicrosoft Designer and Canva’s brand kit features—AI batch editing, being ad-free, and 10 GB of cloud storage. This plan includes a total of 300 AI credits per month, too.
With as many traditional features as Canva or Kittl, Fotor should be a go-to option for most designers and hobby creators. You can create social media posts for all purposes, create and edit videos, and create unlimited AI images with dozens of generators and tools.
