ThisStar Warstheory could spell major trouble for one fan-favorite character inAhsokaseason 2, and audiences are concerned.Ahsokawas a brilliant addition toStar Wars’movies and TV shows, re-uniting beloved former Jedi master and apprentice duo Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker and bringing incredible villains likeGrand Admiral Thrawnandthe Nightsisters of Dathomirto life in live-action.TheAhsokaseason 1 finalealso left a number of thrilling questions in the balance.
For one, both Thrawn and Ezra Bridger are now on their way back to the mainStar Warsgalaxy, with Thrawn no doubt posing a major threat to the New Republic. For another, the fates of Ahsoka and Sabine Wren now remain unclear, as they have swapped places with Thrawn and Ezra Bridger and now find themselves trapped on Peridea. However,Sabine and Ahsoka aren’t the only characters still on Peridea. Rather, one main character in particular remains on Peridea as well, and this theory suggests that could be very bad news.

Ahsoka Season 2: Story, Updates, Everything We Know
Ahsoka season 2 is confirmed and has received exciting new story and filming updates. Here’s everything we know about the Star Wars project.
The Mortis Gods Will Be Important To Season 2
As was revealed inAhsokaseason 1,the Mortis Godsare about to have a major return toStar Wars. In a fascinating arc that revealed brand-new insights about the Force, the Mortis Gods were introduced inStar Wars: The Clone Wars. The trio of gods, the Father, the Son, and the Daughter, were revealed to be physical embodiments of the Force. The Daughter represented the light side, the Son represented the dark side, and the Father represented balance between the two.
However, following their mysterious appearance inThe Clone Wars(and the arc concluding with Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, and Obi-Wan Kenobi all having their memories wiped), it wasn’t clear to what extent the Mortis Gods would return to the franchise. After all, although they were compelling characters, the gods felt like a deviation in some way from what had been seen inStar Warsthus far. Nevertheless,Ahsokaseason 1 made it clear that the Mortis Gods will return in some fashion, as a massive statue of the Father was seen on Peridea.

Something is calling out to Baylan Skoll, and it could be the single most terrifying villain inStar Wars.
In fact, Baylan Skoll himself was seen perched atop this statue, signaling that, whatever Baylan Skoll is searching for on Peridea, it is linked to the Mortis Gods. It is this very search, though, that has given rise to the theory in question. Specifically, something is calling out to Baylan Skoll, and it could be the single most terrifying villain inStar Wars.

Abeloth’s Story Hasn’t Been Explained In Canon
Because this mysterious power on Peridea is very likely linked to the Mortis Gods, many believe thatAhsokais about to bring Abeloth to the canonStar Warsscreen. Although Abeloth’s story hasn’t been explored in the canon, her Legends story reveals how absolutely devastating and horrifying her appearance inAhsokaseason 2 could be. Unlike the Father, the Son, and the Daughter, Abeloth was not initially part of the Mortis Gods. Rather, Abeloth began as a mortal woman.
However, over time, she joined the gods as the Mother, helping the Father keep the Son and Daughter in balance. Because she was not a god herself, though, Abeloth had to find alternative sources of immortality, namely via the forbidden Font of Power and Pool of Knowledge. Ultimately, these efforts corrupted her, leading to the powerful, sinister Force being known as Abeloth.
Ultimately, these efforts corrupted her, leading to the powerful, sinister Force being known as Abeloth.
In the end, Abeloth’s power grew too dangerous, and the Mortis Gods had to imprison her. However, with the death of the Mortis Gods inThe Clone Wars, it’s quite possible Abeloth has broken free of this prison. In that case, it could be Abeloth herself calling out to Baylan, meaning thatAhsokaseason 2 could bring this chillingStar Warsvillain to the screen for the first time.
Fans Are Terrified Of Shin Hati Embodying The Mother
Given this history of Abeloth andwhat happened to Shin Hatiat the end ofAhsokaseason 1,many are worried that Shin could become the embodiment of Abeloth in season 2. Although it’s unclear what precisely that could look like, presumably, Abeloth could come to possess Shin Hati. If that was the case, it certainly would not bode well for Shin.
Abeloth truly is a terrifying being, and if she was to take Shin Hati’s body as her corporeal form, it would at best mean Shin Hati being forced to carry out egregious acts and, at worst, would spell her death. In all likelihood, it would mean both. The cause for concern is therefore clear, as Shin Hati has become incredibly beloved in the franchise. Hopefully, ifAhsokaseason 2 does introduce this incredibleStar Warsvillain, Shin Hati will make it out of the story arc unharmed.
