Though he is Ahsoka’s Master,Anakin is young for a Jedi Knight. At only 19, his experience on Geonosis counted as his Jedi Trials, granting him the rank of Knight more than 5 years earlier than Obi-Wan. As such a young and reckless Jedi,Anakin often slips out of his authoritative role and behaves more like an older brother. He can relate to Ahsoka’s incredibly complicated time as a Padawan, and the two Jedi understand each other in a way that many older members of the Order would not be able to.
Ahsoka’s entire career as a Jedi is during the Clone Wars, and she often struggled with the idea that she was being trained to be a soldier rather than a keeper of the peace. That same feeling is one of the issues that Anakin had with the Jedi, and the two often bonded over their frustrations. Though Anakin and Ahsoka would both end up leaving the Jedi Order in some way or another, they both tried their hardest to adhere to the Jedi’s teachings.
