Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heistwill presumablytake place on the 1970 night of Ali’s monumental comeback fight, his return to the ring after a three-and-a-half-year-long exile. Reportedly, before his match, he received a gift box which had inside the carcass of a dead dog with a letter saying that “draft dodgers” — a term Ali has long fought against ever since he avoided active service in the Vietnam War — are to receive the same fate. The highly anticipated fight between Ali and Jerry Quarry sets the stage for the million dollar heist the limited series teases.

Every Actor Who Has Played Muhammad Ali In Movies
Netflix’s Muhammad Ali documentary Blood Brothers portrays the boxer like many other films have. These are the actors who have previously played Ali.
Thearmed robbery happened to more than 100 victims. Upon arriving at the afterparty, the attendees, who had come to Atlanta, Georgia to see the fight, were greeted by six or eight men armed with shotguns who robbed them of their money and jewelry. A young man with a long record of arrests, Houston Jimmy Hammonds, 27 at the time, was arrested shortly after the robbery because he bought a shotgun near the site of the robbery, according to Lieut. J.D. Hudson (now played byCheadle).
It was an unusual case then, and the limited series teases the conception, execution, and repercussions of the crime. The official synopsis of the series says thatHart’s Chicken Man is the host of the afterpartyand the mastermind behind the crime and that Cheadle’s J.D. is an old adversary.
