From major revelations about the Ancient Kingdom and Joyboy to thetruth about the elusive Void Century, Vegapunk’s message has included the biggest lore drops fans have ever witnessed, setting the stage for the Final Saga in one of the best ways possible.

Vegapunk’s broadcast begins in chapter #1108 and ends in chapter #1122, spanning a total of 14 chapters with the main message taking place between chapter #1113 to chapter #1121.

Vegapunk reveals Joyboy was born in the ancient kingdom in one piece

While some of Vegapunk’s revelations have confirmed suspicions that fans have had for a long time, others have completely changed perceptions of certain characters. In fact, nearlyevery revelation made in Vegapunk’s messagehas been incredibly crucial both within the world ofOne Pieceand outside of it.

10Joyboy Belonged To the Ancient Kingdom

Revealed in Chapter #1114

While chapter #1066 had already established that theAncient Kingdom was a highly advanced civilization, chapter #1114 ofOne Piecesurprised fans yet again when Vegapunk revealed that Joyboy belonged to this very kingdom that was first mentioned by Professor Clover. This was one of the first shocking revelations in Vegapunk’s message and finally linked Joyboy and the Ancient Kingdom together, which were earlier two separate pieces of the puzzle that is the Void Century.

9The World of One Piece Was Submerged During the Void Century

Revealed in Chapter #1115

One of the biggest, most unexpected revelations in Vegapunk’s message came in chapter #1115 when Vegapunk revealed that the world ofOne Piecewas not always made up of the scattering of islands that is at present. While fans have crafted countless theories about theorigins ofOne Piece’s peculiar ocean-covered world, Vegapunk finally confirmed that theplanet had been submerged during the Void Century when sea levels rose by 200 meters.

This left people of the present day to live on the few fragments of land that remained above sea level. Though Vegapunk does not directly state who caused the world to sink, he does reveal that the disaster was man-made and caused by the Ancient Weapons used during the war that took place during the Void Century.

8Joyboy Was the First-Ever Pirate in One Piece

While many fans may have already suspected that Joyboy was also a pirate, Vegapunk’s message revealed that Joyboy was not just any pirate but thefirst ever pirate to set sail in the world ofOne Piece. This was one of the first definitive revelations about Joyboy other than the fact that he was the previous user of the Nika fruit, and finally established him as a figure of great importance.

Who Is Joy Boy in One Piece? Everything About the Mysterious “First Pirate”

Everything One Piece has revealed so far about the so-called first pirate Joyboy who is at the center of countless mysteries and theories.

It is yet to be revealed how Joyboy came to be known as the first pirate, but it could be that Joyboy was the first to openly defy rules against free travel through the new ocean-covered world created during the Void Century.

7Joyboy and Nika Are Not the Same

Given that Sun God Nika was only recently introduced, there has been quite a bit of confusion about the distinction between Joyboy and Nika. That said, Vegapunk’s broadcast in chapter #1114 does finally specify thatJoyboy and Nika are indeed separate individuals, with Joyboy being a real pirate who existed during the Void Century and Nika being a mythical being. Vegapunk’s statement also supports his previous theory about devil fruits being scientific creations born of human desire, wherein Vegapunk claims there is no need to debate the existence of gods.

6The Legend of Nika Originates From Elbaf

Along with specifying that Nika and Joyboy are two different people, Vegapunk’s final message also revealed that thelegend of Nika originates from Elbaf, the home of the Giants. It is unconfirmed whether the Winter Solstice Festival held in Elbaf, which celebrates the “death and rebirth of the sun”, has anything to do with Sun God Nika. Fortunately, with theStraw Hats headed to Elbaf, the upcoming arc may soon shed light on Nika’s significance among the Giants.

In chapter #1111, Dorry and Brogy use a peculiar technique called “Svalinn Sun-Shield” which may further hint at Sun God Nika having great importance among the Giants.

5The World Government Possesses the Final Ancient Weapon

Revealed in Chapter #1115 and chapter #1116

When Vegapunk talks about the dramatic shift in sea levels during the Void Century in chapter #1115, he deduces that theAncient Weapons are what caused the world to sink.Vegapunk explains that he arrived at this conclusion after witnessing the recent rise in sea levels after the destruction of Lulusia. This was one of the first hints that the weapon used on Lulusia was an Ancient Weapon.

Following this, in chapter #1116, Vegapunk then explains how the stolen portion of the Mother Flame was used to activate anAncient Weapon that wiped Lulusia off the map. Thus, he directly confirms that the World Government does indeed have one of the three Ancient Weapons in its possession, most likely Uranus, given that the weapon seemed to be airborne.

The threeAncient Weapons in One Piece are named after godsfrom Greek/Roman mythology, with Uranus being named after the Greek primordial god of the skies, while Poseidon is fittingly named after the god of the sea, and Pluton is named after the Roman god of the Underworld, Pluto.

4Joyboy Fought Against the World Government

Another huge reveal about Joyboy during Vegapunk’s broadcast was that the mysterious first pirate also fought against the World Government. Better yet, the twenty kingdoms that went on to form theWorld Government banded together to defeat what Vegapunk terms Joyboy and his “robust faction.”

The World Government likely did not agree with the Ancient Kingdom and Joyboy’s particular set of ideals.

Thereal reason for the conflict between the twenty kingdoms and Joyboyis yet to be revealed. But, based on what Professor Clover and Dr. Vegapunk have revealed about the Ancient Kingdom, the World Government likely did not agree with the Ancient Kingdom and Joyboy’s particular set of ideals, whatever they may have been.

3The Void Century Ended With Joyboy’s Defeat

Though Vegapunk’s final message was full of many shocking revelations about the Void Century one particularly unexpected reveal was that the Void Century specifically ended with Joyboy’s defeat. Though Vegapunk does not elaborate much on the matter, his words imply that Joyboy was at the forefront of the war and the resistance entirely crumbled with his defeat. Moreover, this revelation also confirmed that Joyboy was not invincible despite wielding the same ridiculous powers of the Nika Fruit as Luffy.

2The World Government Plans to Further Sink the World

When Vegapunk talks about the war waged during the Void Century in chapter #1115, he ominously reveals that thewar never came to an endand that the Ancient Weapons are stirring once again, referring to the destruction of Lulusia. This, together with the fact that the World Government has been eager to secure the Mother Flame and the power plant, confirms that the World Government plans to continue using the Ancient Weapon that destroyed Lulusia as a test run.

This would explain why Vegapunk started his message with the statement that theworld ofOne Pieceis going to sink, which could be a deliberate part of theWorld Government’s plan to conduct a great cleansingat Saint Nusjuro claims in chapter #908.

1The Fate of the World Depends on the Final Treasure

Revealed in Chapter #1121

Easily the biggest revelation in Vegapunk’s message was that thefate of the world rests on who finds the One Piece. While fans are still nowhere close to uncovering the nature of the final treasure, Vegapunk’s words in chapter #1121 further add to the intrigue while also raising the stakes for the Final Saga.

That said, it seems as though the One Piece willgrant whoever finds it some kind of power beyond just the prestigethat comes with claiming it. In chapter #1125, Koala claims that this power granted by the final treasure could be the ability to command the Ancient Weapons, though Vegapunk himself never directly says so in his message, leaving Koala’s words up for speculation.
