Summary

TheMarvel Cinematic Universeis getting closer to finally making theNovaTV show become a reality. The Multiverse Sagahas been focusing on not just fleshing out recently added heroes to the franchise but also introducing a lot of new faces into the MCU. However, a classic Marvel superhero that many have been waiting to see in the MCU is Nova, with the firstGuardians of the Galaxylaying the foundation for his eventual arrival.

In a new interview withComicBook.com,Feige was asked if he could share any updates on theNovaTV showthat has been in the works for quite some time. The Marvel Studios boss finally confirmed that not only will the live-action series focus on Richard Rider but also teased when audiences can expect for it to hit their screens. See what Feige shared below:

Nova from Marvel comics with the Guardians of the Galaxy from the MCU

It’s happening, it’s coming together. Richard Rider, yep. A show, yeah, yeah. It’s three or four years out.

10 MCU Cameos We Want To See In Marvel’s Nova Project

Marvel is currently developing a project for Nova. As they decide where it fits in the MCU, they are likely also planning out some Marvel cameos.

Nova Has A Number Of Ways To Make His MCU Debut

With a major hero like Nova coming intothe MCU timeline,it would be a good idea to establish Richard in the franchise prior to his Disney+ show. Two shows that could work in Richard’s favor are showing up as a supporting player in either theVisionspinoff series orWonder Man.Visioncould have Paul Bettany’s titular character cross paths with Richard while he is on his road to self-discovery, while inWonder Man, he could be someone Simon Williams discovers in the Hollywood satire.

In terms of MCU movies, it would actually make a lot of sense if Nova became a supporting character inAvengers 5andAvengers: Secret Wars. That would already help Nova get him established as a superhero in the MCUwhile also building dynamics with some of the established heroes in the franchise. Once audiences have gotten to know Nova on a better level, it will be more organic to have him lead his own series.

MCU Franchise Poster

Given Feige’s comment thattheNovaTV showwon’t happen until 3–4 years from now,it would make perfect sense for his solo series to take place after The Multiverse Saga. SinceAvengers: Secret Warsis rumored to be leading into a soft reboot, havingNovapremiere in Phase 7 would be more suitable as the franchise enters a new era. Hopefully, more details about theNovaseries will emerge over the coming months, including who is involved with the creative team beyond the initially reported Sabir Pirzada, who previously worked on fellow Disney+ MCU titleMoon Knight.
