Life is Strange: Double Exposure, like many games, will be releasing multiple editions of the game that include different amounts of additional content - mostly cosmetic - depending on which edition is purchased. Of course, this also means that the cost of each edition goes up as more content is included. From standard to ultimate, the team behindLife is Strangehas shown what each option includes.

Double Exposureis returning to the roots ofLife is Strangeby bringing back theoriginal protagonist, Max Caulfield. Having graduated after a trying senior year of high school, Max is now in college and has a new set of friends by her side. Unfortunately, bad luck and crime follow her there as one of her new friends becomes a murder victim. Max hasn’t used her powers since the events of the first game, but now she’s ready to rewind time and try to figure out what happened to her friend, and prevent more people from becoming victims.

Everything In Life Is Strange: Double Exposure Standard Edition

The Base Package Gives The Game, & Little Else

Purchasingthe standard edition forLife is Strange: Double Exposuregives the buyer only the game. Considering the name of this edition, it makes sense that the only content that it provides is the basics of what should be expected, which is the game and nothing else with it. Since there are no bells and whistles included with the standard edition, it’s the cheapest option to purchase.

However, most of the additional content that comes with other editions is outfit packs, so that will likely be a big influence when it comes to deciding which version to purchase.

Life Is Strange: Double Exposure Ultimate Edition & Preorder Bonuses

The Most Expensive Option Comes With A Preorder Bonus

The ultimate edition ofLife is Strange: Double Exposureincludes the most extra content among the options, but that also means it’ll cost the most. This edition includes:

That’s a total of 25 outfits to choose from, and a side story about a lost cat that shows up at Max’s home, which she tries to reunite with its owner as she takes care of it.

Life is Strange Double Exposure Ultimate Edition

Additionally, the ultimate edition is the only version with a pre-order bonus. Buying this versiongrants access to chapters one and two early, letting players jump in on October 15 rather than October 29. If the chapter length is comparable to the original game, then that’s more than enough time to complete them beforeDouble Exposureis officially released.

Life is Strangereturning to its first protagonist and her ability to rewind time is an interesting decision. Unfortunately, there are a lot of questions about the first game that will likely go unanswered, such as which ending is canon. Despite that, solving another murder mystery with Max Caulfield should be a fun time, even with a newcast of side charactersinLife is Strange: Double Exposure.
