Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' streaming release date has now been revealed. After the conclusion of Caesar’s (Andy Serkis) story in thePlanet of the Apesreboot trilogy in 2017, director Wes Ball took the reins for the latest installment, which follows a young ape named Noa (Owen Teague) hundreds of years later. TheKingdom of the Planet of the Apesreviewswere positive upon the film’s release earlier this year, and the film was also a modest success at the box office.

20th Century Studios now reveals thatKingdom of the Planet of the Apeswill arrive on Hulu on August 02, 2025. This streaming release comes less than a month after the film first became available to watch at home on VOD. Ball’s film joins all nine otherPlanet of the Apesmovies on Hulu, including the most recent reboot trilogy.

In addition to generally faring well critically and commercially, theKingdom of the Planet of the Apesendingalso leaves room for more story to be told. After Mae’s (Freya Allan) true intentions are revealed, the film ends with what remains of humanity taking a major step forward as they re-establish global communication, teasing that an organized resistance could now form. The film’s ending certainly sets the stage for a growing conflict ahead, which could be explored in a sequel.

Set many generations after Caesar’s story, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes has its own story to tell, and it hints that there could be much more.

While nothing has been confirmed just yet,Ball certainly seems interested in returning for a sequel, tellingScreen Rantin May: “There’s just so much opportunity there for different ways to go with the story and yeah, it’ll be fun to explore.” In a May interview withVariety, Ball also teased that he sees the most recent film as the first in a new trilogy. WithKingdom of the Planet of the Apesnow set to arrive on streaming, it hopefully won’t be long before an official announcement is made about the franchise’s future.
