How to Schedule a Meeting in Microsoft Teams on the Desktop or Web App

Before getting right on it, first and foremost, verify you’re doneinstalling Microsoft Teams on Windows 10/11 or on your Mac device. You can also simply log into the Teams web app from your browser. Once done, schedule a meeting from your PC using one of three methods.

Via Calendar

On the left-hand panel of the app, go toCalendar. Select theNew meetingbutton located in the upper-right corner. Alternatively, you can click on any date and time on your calendar. This will open the New Meeting form. Fill in the necessary blocks:

You can also add additional information about the meeting in the editor box at the bottom of the page. When finished, simply select theSavebutton in the upper-right corner. Your attendees will automatically receive an email about the scheduled meeting.

Via Channel

If you’re using a paid subscription in Teams, you could schedule a meeting from a channel you belong to. This allows everyone in the channel to access and participate in the meeting. To do this, follow the steps outlined below:

Via Chat Conversation

If you want to schedule a one-on-one meeting, it’s possible to do so from the chat. Simply go to your chat box, and click on the conversation with whom you want to set a meeting. Then, select theSchedule a meeting iconbelow the message text field. This will open the New Meeting form with the required attendees pre-filled.

Note that this method only works in the paid subscription and with people inside your organization. After scheduling your meeting, you can thenjoin your Microsoft Teams meeting via phone or desktopon the set date.
