How to Add a Card to Apple Pay
Apple Pay is a quick and easy way to pay for anything you can imagine at physical stores or online. But the first step to using the contactless payment system is to add a debit or credit card to your Apple device.
We’ll show you how to add a card to Apple Pay on your iPhone and other Apple devices.

How to Add a Card to Apple Pay on Your iPhone
The iPhone is one of the best ways to use Apple Pay. Thanks to NFC technology, all you need to do is tap your iPhone to the payment terminal after unlocking your device. Always having your cards with you is one of thebest reasons to start using Apple Pay.
To get started, open up the Wallet app and press the+app in the top right-hand corner of the app. On the next page, selectDebit or Credit Card.

You can then enter the card details, like number and expiration date, manually or use the iPhone’s camera to scan in all of that information.
Once that’s entered, Apple will automatically connect with your financial institution to determine whether the card is valid and if it can be used in Apple Pay. To see if your financial institution supports Apple Pay, view thislistfrom Apple.

It might come as a bit of a surprise, but Apple Pay can also be added to your iPad or Mac. While you obviously won’t be lugging those devices to use at a tap-to-pay terminal at a physical store, you can use Apple Pay online.
With Apple Pay online, you can quickly import all of your information, including payment card data, to make a purchase with just a few taps.
To add a card to your Mac, it will need a built-in Touch ID. Without it, you will need to complete a purchase using Apple Pay on a compatible phone or Apple Watch. Make sure to head toSettings > Wallet & Apple Payon your iPhone and choose Allow Payments on Mac.
With a compatible Mac, head toSystem Preferences > Wallet & Apple Pay. ChooseAdd Cardand then enter information manually or use Mac’s webcam to scan the information.
