How to Activate and Deactivate Quiet Mode on Instagram
Instagram introduced quiet mode to let you pause notifications. But first check that your app has the feature and make sure it’s updated to the latest version.
Follow these steps to find and use it:
Go to your profile’s menu and tapSettings. Select theNotificationstab.
FindQuiet modefrom the list of options and tap it. Activate theQuiet modeslider, and choose yourFromandTosettings, keeping in mind that your time limit is 12 hours.
Instagram saves your settings when you exit theQuiet modepanel—your profile goes automatically silent within the timeframe you choose, meaning Instagram will hold back notifications, display your profile as in quiet mode, and auto-reply to messages. At the end of the set timeframe, you’ll get a summary of what you missed.
To disable quiet mode on Instagram, simply follow the same steps above and push the slider to the off position. As you exit, Instagram will save your settings again and send you alerts as normal.
