Of course, there are many layers to this. Even before Anakin fell to the dark side, Ahsoka had left the Jedi Order because the Jedi Council turned their backs on her when she was falsely accused of murder. There’s also the question of what would have happened to Palpatine’s plan if Anakin hadn’t fallen to the dark side. Undoubtedly, this would have thrown a major wrench in things, but it’s unlikely to have halted Palpatine entirely. Even so, it’s clear that Anakin’s fall and all the events that followed ripped apart what had been an incredible Jedi team.
