TheHonkai: Star Rail2.6 livestream is bound to occur soon as the game progresses into the later stages of Version 2.5. At the moment, the turn-based RPG by HoYoverse is nearly halfway through Version 2.5’s contents. The Trailblaze Continuance missions set on the Xianzhou Luofu have been concluded with the defeat of Hoolay and the end of the Borisin crisis on the flagship, though there are still a few loose ends teased by the quests. The first half of the update also introduced Moze andFeixiao inHonkai: Star Railas playable DPS characters specialized in follow-up attacks.
The second portion of the patch also introduces Lingsha as a playable hero, who may become one of the best healers in the game. The rest of the update is mostly focused on limited-time events to help players gather rewards and get accustomed to the new Skysplitter map. There have been several leaks about the contents of Version 2.6 and, given the reliability of recent leaks, a lot of the rumored information may be confirmed by the developer during theHonkai: Star Rail2.6 livestream before the arrival of the update itself in mid-October.

The Livestream Should Occur On Schedule
While the developer has not yet announced the Version 2.6 livestream, it is possible to predict when it will occur. This is because the turn-based RPG usually follows a strict six-week schedule for each of its updates. Given Version 2.5 was released on September 10, Version 2.6 will likely arrive on October 23. Considering that livestreams usually occur two weeks before, on Fridays,theHonkai: Star Rail2.6 livestream will likely occur on October 11, during the morning in the United States. This date and time are subject to change until HoYoverse’s official announcement.
The developer usually announces the official date and time during the week of the livestream itself.

Rappa Is A New DPS Character
Only one new character has been teased for Version 2.6. Rappa is confirmed to be a 5-star Imaginary character who follows the Path of the Erudition. As such, she is expected to be a multi-target striker, capable of dealing with larger groups of enemies. According to theRappa leaks inHonkai: Star Rail2.6,the character will be a main DPS focused on dealing Break and Super Break DMG to opponents. Rappa is expected to be a DPS in teams with Ruan Mei and the Harmony Trailblazer, being a viable substitute for Firefly and Boothill, for example.
Rumors indicate that Rappa is a cyber ninja from Penacony.
In addition to that, a new Version 2.6 leak, obtained by Stepleaker and shared in a post flagged as “Reliable” onReddit,seems to hint at reruns for Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae, Acheron, and Aventurine. The three characters are teased in the leak, even though the regular 4-star form of Dan Heng is used in the images. However, because he is a 4-star unit, he would not appear as a featured 5-star, thus the interpretation that his 5-star formImbibitor Lunae inHonkai: Star Railis the one mentioned in the Version 2.6 leak.

Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae is a 5-star Imaginary character on the Path of the Destruction. He is well-established as one of the strongest DPS characters in the game and excels at both dealing single-target and multi-target damage against opponents. Via his Skill,Imbibitor Lunae can upgrade his Basic Attacks, making them much stronger. This, however, consumes one Skill Point for each upgrade to his Basic Attacks. This means that he operates at his full potential when aided by a support character that grants more Skill Points or regenerates them, such as Sparkle inHonkai: Star Rail.
On the other hand, Acheron is also one of the best DPS characters in the game. The Emanator of the Nihility, Acheron is a 5-star Lightning character and, unlike most characters on the Path she follows, her main specialty is not actually applying debuffs to enemies but, instead, using debuffs applied by the rest of the team to charge her Ultimate and then deal massive damage to opponents.Acheron works particularly well with Nihility characters like Pela, Kafka, and Jiaoqiu, for instance. WithAcheron’s best build inHonkai: Star Rail, players can tackle most activities with ease.
Lastly, Aventurine is among the best sustain characters in the RPG. The 5-star Imaginary character follows the Path of the Preservation and is, arguably, the best and most reliable shielder in the game.Aventurine can provide massive shields for his entire team comp and also contribute to the party’s damage outputvia his regular attacks, Ultimate, and follow-up attacks. If the HP-drainage mechanic is not a concern in the party, such as the ones used by Blade and Jingliu, Aventurine can essentially carry the team through tough battles without them ever being damaged inHonkai: Star Rail.
The exact order in which the characters will appear in banners during Phases 1 and 2 has not yet been leaked. Furthermore,the rerun characters are highly subject to change before the livestream, meaning that, during the event, HoYoverse may announce other rerun units instead of the leaked Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae, Acheron, and Aventurine, for example. Nevertheless, all four featured 5-star units should appear during the Version 2.6 livestream.
It seems like Version 2.6 will not feature the triple rerun banner that was first introduced inHonkai: Star Rail2.5’s Phase 1 banners.

Players May Return To Penacony During The Update
When it comes to story quests, leaks shared onRedditindicate that there will be a new Trailblaze Continuance mission, though the exact details of what they will entail are still a mystery. The leak does mention that among the confirmed characters are the Nameless, Robin, Boothill, and Rappa.This seems to indicate that players may make a return to Penacony in Version 2.6since both Robin and Rappa are allegedly from the Planet of Festivities and there are a few loose ends there, such as Sunday’s fate.
WithSunday’s leaks inHonkai: Star Railindicating he will be one of the next few playable characters, the return to Penacony could make narrative sense, too.
In addition to the main quests, there will likely also be events for players to participate in during the patch. Not many details about the events in Version 2.6 have been leaked, but considering a leak about the number of lines by HomDGCat onReddit,there may be at least four new limited-time events taking place during the update, including what seems like an update to the Simulated Universe.
Two new Relic sets for Version 2.6 have also been leaked, one of which should fit support units, while the other may expediteJingliu’s return toHonkai: Star Rail’s gameplay meta. The details on the events and possible system optimizations will likely be showcased during the Version 2.6 livestream. This should be one of the last few patches beforeHonkai: Star Railmoves into its second year of content with Version 3.0.
