If last year’s treatment of Fontaine serves as a base of comparison, this rumored Natlan may actually present a large portion of the character roster for the upcoming year of content following the introduction of the Nation of Pyro to the playable Teyvat map. In 2023, a teaser trailer showcased most Fontaine characters ahead of the Nation’s release inGenshin Impact.

Three Units From The Nation Of Pyro Have Already Been Revealed
Even though three playable characters, who had already been leaked, were officially shown by HoYoverse in a teaser trailer,even more characters may be presented on July 12. It is uncertain if the date will see the release of a larger teaser trailer but, given the game’s history and the pace at which Natlan is being teased, it is quite possible that more units will appear on the date – if the newest leaks are true. This could be the stage for the official presentation of the highly mentioned Xbalanque and maybe even the Pyro Archon inGenshin Impact.

In last year’s Fontaine teaser trailer, HoYoverse presented several important characters from the region, from Charlotte and Navia to Freminet, Sigewinne, Wriothesley, Neuvillette, Clorinde, and Furina. At that point, Lyney and Lynette had already been confirmed for years since they appeared in the game’s roadmap trailer back in 2020. Of course, this larger roster had already leaked before the official presentation, so players interested in leaks had most likely already seen the designs for all of the aforementioned characters. This year, however, theNatlan leaks inGenshin Impactare more scarce.
As such, if the leak about the Natlan trailer coming out on July 12 is true, this may be the very first opportunity for players to see new characters from the region, something that did not occur through leaks. In fact,even the newly showcased characters had only had their descriptions leaked, with no visual assets to back the information. Their names are unknown, but therumored Natlan characters inGenshin Impact5.0indicate there are two 5-star units and one 4-star character.
One 5-star is said to be the Dendro claymore boy and the other a Hydro catalyst girl. The 4-star unit is rumored to be Geo polearm. This seems in line with what has been showcased by HoYoverse so far.
For now, the leaks should be taken with a grain of caution, as the information may be incorrect or subject to change. However, with Version 5.0 looming on the horizon, it does not seem too far-fetched to imagine HoYoverse is getting ready to showcase more of Natlan and its inhabitants. If there are no delays and the game sticks to its regular update schedule,Genshin Impact5.0 should arrive in late August, with the official livestream occurring in mid-August.
