With a new Spotify feature, you’re able to show off your creativity while creating custom art for any personal playlists.
Make Cover Art Your Own
Spotify announced that the new beta feature is rolling out to 65 markets. Available for both free and Premium users, you’ll need the Spotify app foriOSorAndroidthat’s up to date with the most recent version.
You’ll then need to select a playlist you’ve personally created or craft a new one. To begin, select the three-dot menu on the Playlist page. In that menu, tapCreate cover art.
Along with being able to upload an original photo of your own, there are a number of other elements to choose from.
Some of the elements included text styles, colors, and effects featuring the custom Spotify Mix typeface. You can also select background colors and gradients along with image masking and visual effects.
For a final touch, you can even choose from exclusive stickers from artists like Jun Ioneda, Sam Lyon, James Marshall, and Shivani Parasnis.
Once you are done creating, the playlist will update with the new cover art. It can be shared directly with friends or via social media.
Only one custom cover art can be saved for a playlist. Each new cover you create will override the previous one.
If you want to make multiple covers for a playlist, Spotify recommends making a copy of it first. To do that, tap the three-dot menu and chooseAdd to other playlistand thenNew playlistto create a copy.
Adding New Features at a Rapid Pace
While competing with Apple Music and other streaming music options, the new custom playlist art creator is just one of the features Spotify has recently rolled out.
Just last week, Spotify announced a new integration that allows you to saveInstagram song discoveries directly to your Spotify account. And Spotify has also recently increased its roll out ofmusic videos in the app to more countries.
