While following Taash’s personal quest inDragon Age: The Veilguard, players can obtain the side quest “Warden Grey’s Final Repose,” which tasks Rook and the team to investigate the life and history of the first Qunari Grey Warden. Doing so will increase your standing with the Grey Wardens while also giving you some extra XP for your troubles. However, this quest can only be completed if you follow Taash’s personal questalmost all the way through, so it’s not possible to finish as soon as you unlock it.
Taash and their mother are two of many Qunari who fled from the Qun after the Antaam began invading neighboring regions and taking them over. They grew up in Rivain with the Lords of Fortune, which greatly influenced their lives and caused them to struggle with their identity as Qunari and women.Taash’s personal quest sees Rook helping them navigate the tricky ideas of gender nonconformitywhile also huntingdragons inDA: The Veilguard, though that’s not what “Warden Grey’s Final Repose” entails.

How To Begin Warden Grey’s Final Repose
Pick Up The Letter Near The Clifftops Beacon
This side quest isn’t given to you by one ofVeilguard’s many NPCs but is rather one you find on your own as you explore the Rivain Coast region. After completing “The Dragon Slayer,” which is the quest you undertake to recruit Taash afterMinrathous and Treviso, you may freely explore the Rivain Coast and pick up the quest by finding the first letter.Head to the southwest of the Clifftops Beacon and into the broken-down buildings nearby to get started.
The first letter is located in the same place as one of the two brazier puzzles in the Rivain Coast region.

In the ruined area, you’ll see some Grey Warden remains leaning against a wall underneath a colored mural of a griffon eating someone. Upon inspection, you’ll read a bit about Warden Grey, who was the first Qunari Warden in the history of Thedas. Taash is understandably impressed, asQunari have an interesting lineage in Thedas, and will ask you to search for more notes about this Qunari historical figure.
The second letter can be found in one of the small towers in the southwestern portion of the map.Head to the location marked, then drop the ladder down from the upper portion of the ruin to the left. Once you climb the ladder, you’ll need to blow up the Gaatlock barrel to open the way over to the second letter.

After you pick up the second letter, you’ll need to go to the Sharksmouth Caves, but these aren’t accessible until after you’re almost done with Taash’s personal quest.Unfortunately, this means you’ll have to return to the quest later. Once you complete “Lair of the Dragon King,” return to the Rivain Coast to finish this quest.
How To Enter Sharksmouth Caves
Get To Know Taash And Finish Some Quests
After you finish “Lair of The Dragon King” with Taash, return to the Rivain Coast to find the northeastern area of the region open to you.Head north from the Castle Bailey Beacon on the north side of the map to find a whole new section. You should head to the lava cave and make your way carefully—or destructively—through the Darkspawn in the area to find the third and final note.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard - How To Convince Mythal To Help
Rook can confront the goddess Mythal in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. They must choose the right dialogue options to convince her to help.
From the Cave Floor Beacon, head left up the stairs of the ruins and past the many Darkspawn, following the path upwards until you’re able to hop down onto the wooden platforms that extend out to the left.Follow this wooden outcropping into the next cave, then up the ladder and across the room to reach a large stone bridge with two statues. The letter you’re looking for will be found here, and you can continue to fight the Fury of Sharksmouth.

How To Defeat The Fury of Sharksmouth
It’s One Big Rage Demon In One Small Room, So Look Alive
Thankfully, the Fury of Sharksmouth isn’t another dragon like so many of Taash’s quest enemies turn out to be; instead, it’s a Rage Demon. It’s weak to Ice, so bring your own Cold abilities as well as Neve for some backup. At this point, you’ve likely fought more than one of these bad boys, so there’s nothing surprising about this fight. Just in case, here are some of the Fury’s moves to look out for:
Tip
Flame Charge
The Fury will charge at full speed while also on fire. It will leave a fire trail behind it, so be careful not to dodge it while avoiding the main part of the attack. This attack is also super fast, so save any ability attacks for when the Fury stands still, ensuring that your abilities hit.
Explosion
Noted by a large red circle around it, the Fury will release a blast of fire in a circle. Stay away from it, and you should avoid this attack easily.
Leaping Slam
This attack is also indicated by a circle on the ground, and the Fury will leap up into the air before doing a ground-pound, dealing damage in the area.
Flamethrower
Like the dragons, the Fury of Sharksmouth has a breath attack that spans almost the whole arena.Avoid it by dodging behind it or using your block to tank a hit.
Fire Wave
Avoid this huge wave of fire by dodging towards it, then following up with some free damage while the Fury is occupied.
Barrage
The Fury will back up a bit and send a wave of fireballs at you, one at a time. Stay on the move to avoid this one, as the fireballs are too close together to really do damage between them.
Also, note that the Fury of Sharksmouth will summon lesser demons during the fight, and they’re super annoying.Use any burst damage you might have with you to take them out quickly so you may focus entirely on the boss. This is by no means the most glamorousquest inDragon Age: The Veilguard, but you get some interesting insight into the history of the very first Qunari Grey Warden, along with Grey Warden and Lords of Fortune strength for your efforts.
