Handsome Tony Ferrer’s arm floating in the water in Dexter: Original Sin season 1, episode 3

Tony Ferrer’s Arm & Ring Are Found By Police In The Everglades In Original Sin Season 1 Episode 6’s Ending

Dexter drives right into an active crime scene

At the end ofDexter: Original Sinepisode 6, Tony Ferrer’s arm and signature ring are discovered by Florida police officers in the Everglades. While Dexter had deposited the body of Nurse Mary there before, who was eaten up by alligators, it appears that Ferrer’s body was not completely consumed by the natural wildlife.Ferrer’s arm had already surfaced at the end of a previous episode, which was a foreshadowing of the events to come at the end ofOriginal Sinepisode 6. Dexter will have to find a way out of his conversation with the police officer, who asks him what business he had being at the scene of the crime.

Tony Ferrer, Dexter’s second kill, was the first one that required him to do some real scouting work. After learning about the tragic story of Carla and Rene Carballo, Dexter had all the justification he needed to take Tony off the streets. Tony may not have been a classic serial killer but he was a financial predator that fed off disadvantaged people within his own community. Dexter killing Tony Ferrer likely saved a lot of people from making the same mistake as Rene and Raul did, which ended up costing them their lives.Dexter killed Tony in the center of a sports arena after pretending to need money from himunder a false alias.

He will likely pull out his Miami Metro credentials and pretend to be investigating the scene

Dexter will likely find a clever way out of his predicament with the police officer at the end of Original Sin episode 6. He will probably lie and say something like he got lost orhe may have to pull his Miami Metro credentialsif the cop doesn’t buy his “lost” story. Dexter has shown up at his own crime scenes early in the original series, so this could be the prequel series' first example of that. It’s highly unlikely that Dexter will become a suspect but then again, it’s not entirely out of the question given how suspicious it is that he turns up in such a random place in the middle of the night.

The police officer will probably not choose to take a look inside Dexter’s car inDexter: Original Sinepisode 7, since that would have put an early end to Dexter’s vigilante killing career. Even with Dexter’s Miami Metro badge, there’s no chance he would be able to explain the dead body in his trunk. He may be questioned and feign ignorance but it likely won’t be much of a hassle for Dexter to get out of the situation with his Miami Metro credentials. Other members of Miami Metro PD could potentially be on the scene or be en route. In that case, Dexter would do his forensic work andhit the road as soon as possible to figure out what to do with Reed’s body.

Tony Ferrer’s Arm Being Found Reveals Why Dexter Changes His Dumping Grounds

Feeding the bodies to alligators wasn’t a sustainable method

Dexter frequently uses that area to feed the bodies to the alligators inOriginal Sin.However, when the main series begins, Dexter takes his boat out in Bay Harbor, puts the bodies in garbage bags, and weighs them down so they sink. If he had kept using this spot in the Everglades, then he would have had a higher risk of being caught, as evidenced by his close call at the end of episode 7. Dexter will be forced to find a new way to get rid of Levi Reed’s body inDexter: Original Sinepisode 7. He may just take advantage of Mad-Dog’s boat and dump his first body out at sea.
