The new form appears right before the fight with what could be the series' ultimate villain with the Death Devil. Though it’s unclear what exactly the new form means, there are several strong hints that this is not a new form for Denji, but is instead one for thefake Chainsaw Man that’s been a mysterious plot point in the series' second part.

Though it’s still entirely possible this is a new form for Denji, all evidence points to the metal new Chainsaw Man form being the Fake Chainsaw Man rather than Denji. The biggest evidence is just the time frame.
When the series last left Denji in Chapter #195, he was on top of a building talking to Asa and wanted to focus on having fun with his new friend before he had to go to fightChainsaw Man’snewly revealed Death Devil. The next handful of scenes where the Death Devil appears are implied to be taking place either at the same time or right after Denji and Asa’s conversation, so it’s not clear if Denji could even get to the Death Devil in time.

The other big piece of evidence that this is the fake Chainsaw Man is his dialogue. The grander and more melodramatic lines from this new Chainsaw Man just don’t sound like Denji.Denji is one of Shonen Jump’s greatest heroes, but he isn’t exactly known for being particularly eloquent or boastful about his status as a bona fide superhero, at least not in the same way this new Chainsaw Man is.
Our Take On The New Chainsaw Man
While there is still much to speculate about regarding the new Chainsaw Man form, its appearance here does drop some hints to unlocking other mysteries. Specifically, Chainsaw Man’s dialogue being so grandiose and focused on protecting innocent people suggests thatFake Chainsaw Man is related to the Justice Devilin some way. While the Justice Devil is currently dead, it was being impersonated by the Fire Devil, so Fake Chainsaw Man could be someone who thinks they have a contract with the Justice Devil.
Regardless of the who and how of this new Chainsaw Man form, the fact remains that it’s already an all-time classic from series creator Tatsuki Fujimoto. It combines the best aspects of Chainsaw Man himself and the Darkness Devil to create something absolutely terrifying. Hopefully, the new form will live up to its epic design so that its fight withChainsaw Man’sDeath Devil will be one for the ages.
