MoreBorderlands 4news has finally arrived, including an official release date and an announcement of an upcoming State of Play specifically for news about the latest action around Pandora. The exciting first-person shooter has a strong fanbase eagerly awaiting every drop of information Gearbox Studios provides, and today’s trailer gave plenty to comb through. This sci-fi adventure will, once again, include both solo play and co-op for up to four players. Borderlands 4will be released on Jul 11, 2025, with a special State of Play broadcast taking place this Spring. No specific date was provided for the State of Play, but it will be exclusively centered on the latest in theBorderlandsseries. The event will include a deep dive to give everyone more details on the combat, action skills, guns, vault hunters, and more.
The State of Play will be presented as a PlayStation event, but that doesn’t mean that the game is going to be an exclusive. The release date forBorderlands 4sounds as though it will bea simultaneous release for all players on PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Epic Games.
In the description on the trailer video, it says the following about the game:

While bandits are certainly not new to the series, they may be playing an even greater role under the Timekeeper, or simply have come along for the ride in their fight for chaos.
I’m Worried That Borderlands 4 Will Repeat A Huge DLC Mistake
I’m really hoping that the inevitable Borderlands 4 DLC won’t look anything like the lackluster downloadable content from Tiny Tina’s Wonderland.
Though it is fun to speculate, it will be even more interesting to see what developers have in store for fans during the upcomingBorderlandsState of Play event this spring.
