Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood WarPart 3, episode #12will actually be tackling the situation of the Quincy defectors, as last episode saw the culmination of Captain Kyoraku’s fight with Lille Barro. Bazz-B will be up against his former friend Jugram Haschwalth, who is best known as Yhwach’s lieutenant and second-in-command.

Episode #11 ofThousand-Year Blood WarPart 3 saw Nanao join her captain in fighting Lille, accepting her family’s “curse” in order to defeat him. By taking possession of the blade hidden by Kyoraku, which was actually a ceremonial sword with no edge, Nanao was able to use its legendary god-slaying power to redirect Lille Barro’s attacks back at him, dealing substantial damage in the process. With Kyoraku’s help and guidance, Nanao ultimately defeated Barro, as the fanatical Quincy’s monstrous form began to fall apart.

When Do New Episodes of Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 Release?

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Produced by Studio Pierrot, Based on the Manga Bleach by Tite Kubo

New episodes ofBleach: Thousand-Year Blood Warare currently premiering each Saturday at 7:30 AM Pacific Time/10:30 AM Eastern Time, on Hulu in the US and Disney Plus internationally.That means fans can expect episode #12 to air on July 11, 2025, at 7:30 AM PT/10:30 AM ET. Episodes will initially be available only in Japanese with subtitles, as a result of being released so close to the Japanese air time. An English dub ofBleach: Thousand-Year Blood Waris currently in production, with new dubbed episodes premiering on Saturdays at 6:30 AM PT/9:30 AM ET, with episode #8 set for release on December 21.

What Happened in Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3, Episode #11?

Lille Barro is Finally Defeated

Afterusing his Bankai against Lille Barro, Kyoraku thought he had won, only to be struck by a beam of light right in the chest. Lille had somehow survived the Bankai, and was on the attack against the weakened captain. Nanao Ise returned to the field of battle to help her captain, and begged to have her Zanpakuto given to her. As it turns out, Nanao does not have a personal Zanpakuto, but rather one that was passed down in her family, and Kyoraku had been given it to hide.

Nanao took to fighting Lille herself, and was able to use her Zanpakuto to reflect his attacks back at him. In flashback, it’s recounted how Kyoraku’s brother fell for Nanao’s mother, and soon died due to the Ise family curse. Nanao’s mother asked Kyoraku to hide the Zanpakuto, in the hopes that doing so would prevent its curse from affecting Nanao. Soon, it’s revealed that this led directly to her death by execution for “misplacing” such an important object. Nanao remembers how she met Kyoraku and came to be assigned to his Squad.

Barely able to stand after an attack, she reflects Lille’s power once again, withKyoraku behind her supporting her. Lille Barro is destroyed by his own attack this time, and begins falling apart and turning into feathers.

Bazz-B Goes Up Against Haschwalth

Episode #12 ofThousand-Year Blood WarPart 3 is entitled “Friend,” and this one will actually be following the defected Quincy as they challenge Yhwach and his remaining men. In particular, Bazz-B will be facing down his former friend, Jugram Haschwalth, whom he now sees as an accomplice to his betrayal. Bazz-B and Haschwalth have a long history, and the episode is likely to take a lot of time in flashback, revealing how the two met and came to be friends in the first place.

Bazz-B isn’t the only defected Quincy, however. Liltotto Lamperd and Giselle Gewelle will also be facing off against Yhwach himself. The two Sternritter have an uphill battle ahead of them, since even Ichigo could barely make a scratch against the Quincy leader. Will their efforts to stand up against Yhwach’s treachery prevail, or are they doomed before they even set eyes on him? Their battle certainly seems hopeless from the outside, but a Quincy may be just what’s needed to defeat a Quincy.

Episode #12 will be the last episode beforea 2-part finale, ending the third part of the series on a high note. Every episode ofThousand-Year Blood WarPart 3has been exceptional in some regard, and the series continues to impress, adding substantial new content as well as seamlessly adapting the story of the manga with only minimal changes to the original.
