While many shows are guilty of overstaying their welcome and lasting too long,Arcaneisn’t one of them and its season 2 trailer proves it. After three years of waiting, Netflix’s critically acclaimed show is finally set to return to screens in November for its second season, but with an unfortunate twist. Despite being one of my favorite series that the streaming platform has produced,Arcaneseason 2 will be the finalinstallment, meaning the story will reach its highly anticipated conclusion. AlthoughFortiche is planning on making moreLeague of Legendsshows, it still hurts to loseArcane.
The project has been beautifully crafted, with its heart-wrenching voice acting and stunning animation creating a captivating and emotional journey that is easy to get invested in. Despite having no priorLeague of Legendsknowledge before the show, I was still blown away and can’t wait for the second season. However, withArcaneseason 2 setting up a dark story for Jinx, Vi, and the rest of its interesting cast, I’m not ready for it to finish just yet. The official trailer proved there is still plenty of life in the series, and I wish it wasn’t ending so soon.

Arcane Season 2’s Trailer Makes Me Wish We Were Getting More Seasons Of The Show
Season 2’s Trailer Is The Perfect Indication Of How Much Excitement Arcane Provides
Arcaneseason 2’s official trailer only added to the hype around the show’s return, but it also makes me even sadder that we aren’t getting more seasons. The upcoming war between Zaun and Piltover looks devastating, and the trailer suggests several characters will have even more grueling storylines, which deserve plenty of time to be explored. Season 1 did an amazing job of fleshing out each character and their specific arcs without rushing them, and I’m sure season 2 can do the same. However, I still feel there is much more to explore, especially with the new additions.
WithArcaneseason 2 potentially adding moreLeague of Legendscharacterssuch as Warwick and Singed, it’ll be hard to tell their stories within a single season while also completing everyone else’s arc. The trailer definitely teased a lot of action, but with Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, and Ekko still seeming like they’ll be driving the plot forward, I’m worried some other great characters may be slightly neglected. While I’m still confident thatArcanewill do an exceptional job with its narrative, I can’t help but feel like there may still be life left in the series when season 2 concludes.

Arcane Deserves More Time To Flesh Out Its Characters & Political Conflicts
Netflix Will Have A Tough Time Wrapping Up So Many Arcs & Stories In Season 2
Although both Netflix andArcane’s creators clearly believe two seasons are enough to tell the whole story, the show deserves more time to develop its characters and political conflict. While it’s great there will be moreLeague of Legendsshows afterArcaneseason 2, I still think this group of characters has more to offer. Seeing a darker side of Vi and Caitlyn sounds compelling, whileJinx becoming a symbol for the people of Zaun could have interesting effects on the character. In addition, most characters on the show have very intriguing arcs that could use more time.
I Have Mixed Feelings About Arcane Ending With Season 2 After 3 Years Of Waiting
Arcane, an animated series set in the League of Legends universe, is coming to an end after its long-awaited sophomore season — and it’s frustrating.
Even the political aspects of Zaun and Piltover would benefit from another season to flesh them out. WhileArcanemay be able to show the brutality and devastation of this war, it’ll struggle to portray the impact it has on the people of each community while also catering to its central and supporting characters. As a result, the series may be a victim of its own success, as it has so much going on. Therefore, telling a great overall narrative, nailing individual character arcs, alongside providing satisfying fight scenes and conclusions will be difficult to do in a single season.
By no means do I think season 2 will miss the mark or fail to deliver, but knowing there is still plenty that could be expanded makes me sad that the next installment will be the end.
More Seasons Would Make The Netflix Series' Ending Even More Epic In The Long-Run
Having More Time With Arcane’s World & Characters Would Set Up A Thrilling Finale
Although I’m already extremely excited aboutArcane’s ending, more seasons would only help make the finale more impactful, as it would allow Vi and Jinx the right amount of time to ensure their inevitable confrontation is as emotional as possible.Arcaneseason 1’s endingseemed to be the breaking point, butseason 2 will have to focus on how much damage Jinx has done to Vi’s life and escalate their hatred toward one another. Additionally, if Viktor and Jayce are still alive, more seasons could benefit their relationship and highlight how they both change after the Piltover Council attack.
More installments would also provide opportunities for flashbacks and longer fights, all of which would add to the tension when it comes to the show’s final moments.
The feud between Piltover and Zaun may only need another season, but to build up key figures and allow viewers to digest the impact of every battle, a third season would really help. More installments would also provide opportunities for flashbacks and longer fights, all of which would add to the tension when it comes to the show’s final moments. I’m still excited aboutArcane’s ending despite it only being two seasons, but it’s hard to ignore the fact that more content would only benefit this amazing story, and I hope the conclusion doesn’t feel rushed.
