Used to upgrade characters; Lumitoile is a local specialty that respawns in the same area every 48 hours. Since these items can’t be bought at shops, you’ll want to know a direct path for collecting them every time they reappear on your map.
Lumitoile is anAscension material for Clorinde inGenshin Impactand another character named Neuvillette. As with any character in the game, you need more and more Lumitoile to Ascend to higher levels, making them valuable items to collect from exploring the world. This item is a local specialty of the Fontaine region, usually found on glowing purple and blue starfish near or within bodies of water.
Make sure tohave Lyney in your partywhile you search for Lumitoile since this character’s special abilityallows them to display the location of nearby resourcesunique to the Fontaine region on your map.

Go West Alongside The Ocean In This Area
Around24 Lumitoile can be found west of the Fountaine Research Institute, which you can fast travel to when starting to search for these items. You should see each item glowing as a sparkling twinkle of light on the ground as your party leader walks around. Interacting with Lumitoile you discover will cause you to pick them up, as you can see in the above video by YouTube creatorSpolyM.
To travel alongside the best farming route, simply travel from the first Lumitoile mentioned below to the next one and so forth. Most are clustered together, so you don’t have to usehigh-flying mechanics inGenshin Impactto search for Lumitoiles over a wide area. Unlike side quest items likeStarsilver Ore inGenshin Impact, Lumitoiles are so abundant that you may confuse them for other resources scattered within this area. Don’t simply chase after every shiny object you see, but pay attention to landmarks to narrow down where the next Lumitoile can be found.

Travel To Secret Caves And Facilties Underwater
While some Lumitoile locations saw your character dive and swim underwater, there arearound 13 more materials found under the New Fontaine Research Institutein walkable areas. The best farming route for this spot can be found when you dive near a place where your party fought the Millennial Pearl Seahorseworld boss inGenshin Impact. Once you’re underground, you’re able to start your search.

Every Central Laboratory Ruins Lumitoile Location (& Best Farming Route)
Go To One Last Body Of Water
The last area you need to explore is theCentral Laboratory Ruins, which have five Lumitoilesto discover. Unlike some other items mentioned, you don’t need to travel underwater or defeat a boss to unlock this region to investigate. All you need to do is watch out for enemies as you normally would in the open world and continue searching for glowing starfish among the game’s typical loot.

Other materials you can get from the Fontaine area can be received bycompleting side quests for specific characters in the region. Both the NPCs Onnit in the infirmary of the Fortress of Meropide and Aigouy near the Research Institute docks to the east offer four and three Lumitoiles respectfully. All you have to do is finish the requests made by these characters to get the items as your reward.
Without clear directions, it can be hard to determine which sections of the map you should start exploring first when looking for Lumitoile. Thankfully, you only need to remember where Lumitoile spawn locations are once to return and collect the materials again when they respawn on their farming routes inGenshin Impact.
