Summary

There are a huge variety of panels to look forward to atSan Diego Comic-Con. The event, which has been held annually since 1970, takes place at the San Diego Convention Center in Southern California. Its primary focus is comic books and the science fiction and fantasy genres, though over the years it has expanded to include more and more pop culture topics and subgenres, ranging from horror to cult to prestige drama and beyond. In 2024, the convention is set to run from Thursday, July 25, through Sunday, July 28, with Preview Night taking place on Wednesday, July 24.

In addition to screenings, autograph booths, artist booths, and stalls on the convention floor representing various publishers, studios, and other companies,there are a multitude ofSan Diego Comic-Con panelsrunning throughout the course of the event.The panels that expect the biggest crowds typically run in Hall H, which has become an iconic location for playing host to some of the biggest announcements in recent pop culture history. However, there are a multitude of other rooms running engrossing panels that are sure to abound with special guests and major reveals.

Though the latest update on the project gave it a 2025 release date, not much more is known about its progress at the time of writing, though that could quickly change come Thursday afternoon.

3Percy Jackson and the Olympians

After becoming a smash hit on Disney+, the Rick Riordan adaptationPercy Jackson and the Olympiansis getting pride of place in Hall H at 2024’s Comic-Con.The panel, which is moderated by Hades himself, Jay Duplass, will include the entire trio at the center of the Greek mythology-inspired show (namely Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri), among others. While season 2 has not yet begun filming, there may be some major announcements on the way ahead of production.
