Soldier Boy and Stormfront are the only characters confirmed to return so far, but it would make sense for these 10 characters to appear in the 1950s setting.
Every Movie & TV Show Trailer From SDCC 2024
The Transformers One trailer rolled out ahead of the pack at the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con — but a bunch of other first-look trailers are on the way.
10Crimson Countess
Appears In The Boys Show
One of the most obvious supes who could appear inVought Risingis the former Vought superstar, Crimson Countess. Crimson Countess is a former Payback member who played a major role inThe Boysseason 3, with her being one of the supes who Soldier Boy tracked down and killed due toher role in Vought’s betrayal of Soldier Boy.
Crimson Countess' age inThe Boysseason 3 is unknown, but based on the lore of the franchise, she is one of the few characters in the show who could have been active in the late 1950s. Crimson Countess had movies made about her superheroics all the way back in the 1960s, meaning that she was probably active as a supe before then. Thus, it is possible that Soldier Boy could bump into her at some point inVought Rising, with the prequel showing the start of their partnership.

9Bombsight
Mentioned In The Boy Show
Outside of Soldier Boy and Stormfront, one of the earliest known supes to exist inThe Boysuniverse is Bombsight. Bombsight isn’t fromThe Boyscomics, but the supe is briefly mentioned inThe Boysseason 4. AtVought’s V52 Expo inThe Boys, the company showed off their long history of movies, with the first one being titledThe Curse of Fu Manchu. Not much is known about the film, but it is revealed that the in-universe 1953 movie is about a supe named Bombsight, meaning that he was active during the events ofVought Rising.
SinceBombsight is one of Vought’s first confirmed supes in Amazon’sThe Boysuniverse, it makes sense for him to have his proper debut inVought Rising. Paying offThe Boysseason 4’s Bombsight tease by including him inVought Risingwould be a fun treat for eagle-eyed fans, with the war-themed hero being a great addition to the show’s post-war setting.

Is The Boys' New Vought Prequel Based On The Comics?
The Boys' upcoming prequel show will show the earliest stages yet of Vought International’s history, but may not be as faithful to the comics.
8Swatto
Another one of the few early supes seen in Amazon Prime Video’sThe Boysthat could be around in the 1950s is Swatto.Swatto is a bug-themed supewho has the power to fly using insect wings on his back, with him being a member of Soldier Boy’s Payback team in the 1980s. Unlike the other Payback members, very little is known about Swatto due to the character dying during Operation Charly, with his age still being a mystery.
Since Swatto’s story has gone undeveloped throughoutThe Boys, it would be easy forVought Risingto simply explain that he is a little older and add him to the show’s cast. Having Soldier Boy, Crimson Countess, and Swatto work together in the series could turnVought Risinginto a Payback prequel as well, with the series being the perfect opportunity to flesh out theThe Boysseason 3 character.

7Steel Knight
Mentioned In The Boys Show
Steel Knight is a supe who hasn’t appeared in Amazon Prime Video’sThe Boysuniverse yet, but he is a character who plays a role in the comics. Steel Knight was one of the first supes released as part of Vought’s first crime-fighting initiative in the 1950s, with him being a member of Soldier Boy’s Avenging Squad. Steel Knight is apredecessor toThe Boys' Tek Knight, with the character sporting a massive suit of armor that he uses in battle.
Although he hasn’t appeared inThe BoysTV show yet, Steel Knight has been mentioned. InThe Boysseason 3,The Legend tells a story involving Steel Knight, meaning that the character is confirmed to exist in the TV show’s past. Thus, it would make perfect sense to include Steel Knight inVought Rising, fleshing out this season 3 tease.

6The Legend
Thetimeline ofThe Boysis a little murky, as the TV show had to make everything from the comics occur a few decades later due to the time difference between releases. The fact that The Legend tells a story involving Steel Knight inThe Boysseason 3 is a strong piece of evidence that The Legend was working for Vought in the 1950s, meaning that the character could appear inVought Rising.
The titleVought Risingimplies that the show will be about the origins of the entire company, not just its supes. Thus, it makes sense for major Vought employees like The Legend to appear in the series, as The Legend was a vital figure in turning the supes ofThe Boysinto public figures and celebrities. So, it would be fun to see a younger actor take on this role in the prequel series.

Vought Rising: Cast, Story & Everything We Know About The Boys Prequel
The Boys universe is expanding again with the recently-announced prequel series, Vought Rising, which explores the early days of the evil corporation.
5ManBot
Appears In The Boys Comics
While there aren’t too many supes fromThe BoysTV show who were alive in the 1950s, there are several supes who haven’t appeared in the show yet and were alive at this point in the timeline. ManBot is one of these supes, with him being another one of Vought’s first heroes.ManBot is an android supe who acts as a parody of Marvel’s Vision, with the character being rolled out as part of the company’s initial crime-fighting initiative.
An entirely robotic supe isn’t something that has been seen yet in Amazon’sThe Boysuniverse, and having an android character made out of 1950s technology seems like an interesting new angle. ManBot is one of the characters who could makeVought Risingunique, and the character’s timeliness means that he could also pop up in other futureThe Boysprojects.

4Jack From Jupiter
Appears In The Boys Presents: Diabolical
InThe Boyscomics, Jack from Jupiter is one of the members of The Seven, which is why it is surprising that he hasn’t appeared inThe BoysTV show at all. WhileJack from Jupiter did have an appearance in one episode ofThe Boys Presents: Diabolical, Jack from Jupiter has been entirely excluded from the main series, which is why he could finally make his live-action debut inVought Rising.
Jack from Jupiter is unlike any otherThe Boyssupe, ashe is the alien-like member of the team. The character’s unique biology means that his age isn’t really a factor inThe Boys' timeline, meaning that he can appear at any point. Since the main series seemingly has no plans for the characters, it would be fun to bring him back inVought Rising, especially due to the UFO and alien craze of the era.

3Black Noir
The original Black Noir sadly died inThe Boysseason 3, butVought Risingcould be the best opportunity to bring the character back. Black Noir started out as a supe in the 1970s and 1980s, with him working alongside Soldier Boy on the Payback team. Although Black Noir wasn’t a supe in the 1950s, there still is a way that he could appear in the prequel show.
Black Noir could have a small cameo inVought Rising, with the show featuring a younger version of the character. Soldier Boy could come across a child or teenage version of Black Noir, adding some more to the character’s backstory before his superhero transformation. This would be a fun way forVought Risingto impact the world ofThe Boyseven further, and Black Noir is one of the few characters that this can be done with.

All 16 The Boys Season 4 Character Deaths, Ranked By Shock Value
Season 4 of The Boys killed off some pivotal characters, as well as subjecting more minor players to death by lasers, tentacles, and flying sheep.
2Chloe Vought
One often-forgotten character who would perfectly tie in to the story ofVought Risingis Chloe Vought. After Stormfront first became a supe, she had a daughter named Chloe Vought, with her father being the company’s founder. Chloe Vought died shortly before the events ofThe Boysseason 2, but an image of an elderly version of the character standing next to Stormfront can be seen.
Giving Stormfront a daughter inVought Risingcould add a much-needed human element to the character, giving her more to do than simply being an evil supe. Since characters like Soldier Boy and Stormfront are basically irredeemable, having an innocent child appear in the show could giveVought Risingsome heart, making her off-screen passing even sadder. The Chloe storyline is ripe for expansion, which is why she needs to appear inThe Boysprequel.

1Frederick Vought
Of all the unannounced characters who could appear inVought Rising, Frederick Vought is one of the most important. Frederick Vought is the founder of Vought International and the Nazi scientist who invented Compound V, with him turning Stormfront into a supe. The 1950s setting perfectly lines up with this part ofThe Boys' lore, meaning that he needs to appear in the prequel.
Since the series is titledVought Rising, the origins of the company will undoubtedly be incredibly important to the show’s story. Since Frederick Vought is the founder of Vought, it only makes sense for him to appear, as he is the character that incited the entireThe Boysuniverse. Frederick Vought is one ofThe Boys’biggest yet most underdeveloped villains, which is why he should finally have a proper role inVought Rising.
